Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy dark reddish brown with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 010314

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, chocolate and breadish. Sweet, caramelish and toffee. Toasted malty. Quite carbonated. Bitter and dark malty finish.

750ml bottle. Darkest brown, almost black colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Fruity aroma with notes of red and dark berries, dry overtones with hints of fruit parings and tobbaco. Taste is dry, roasty, minimally tart, hints of dark berries and their parings, tobacco, the very cautious hints of coffee and treacle are disguised by the dry flavours. Relatively light for its abv, quite dry and almost sourish, doesn’t possess the malt body an Impy Stout requires.

Bottle. Slightly rural hay and smoke on light chocolate aroma. Black, brown layering head. Wood, roast, dark chocolate, hay, metallic notes. Dry metallic body. Chocolate aftertaste. Did not quite come together for me.
