Another mead dating back to our homebrew days. Based around stone fruits, this mead combines peaches, apricots, mangos, orange blossom honey and fresh ginger root, then rested in a fresh dumped bourbon barrel for 10 months. Delicious stone fruit hits the front palate, leading to a subtle ginger spice, with bourbon barrel notes throughout.

Nice looking pale gold, not too thin. Yuge ginger smell, to the exclusion of all else. Nice body, soft, dangerously hidden ABV (I only just realized it's 16%, drinks like lemonade). Taste is sweet, with plenty of ginger at first. Later some stone fruit.
