Can. Very dark brown with a large beige head that fades but returns with a swirl. Aroma of singed grain, dried banana, baked pears, funky spices, berries. Are the spices going to be barrel, esters or hops? Happily, it's not clear on a taste - but there's plenty of oak and not a heap of bitterness. Dry, mildly roasty, subdued funk and fruit. Some red wine notes emerge as it it warms a bit.
