Barden is a fantastic example of the classic English pale ale style. The base is all Norfolk Malt with liberal additions of East Kent Goldings hops, which bring flavours of fresh lemongrass, spice and dashes of honey. This beer is bottle conditioned, allowing it to be as close as possible to enjoying a pint in a Great British pub!

--Bottled. -- Clear pale golden, small head. Slight vegetable honey and citrus aroma. Mid dry with light to medium body and rounded mouthfeel. White bread, apricot and citrus. Mid bitter finish

330ml bottle from Beery Christmas Advent Calendar - Slightly misty golden body, short white head. Nose is fruity, bit of cereal in there too. Taste has a citrussy-cum-herby mix, sweet start with very little aftertaste. Nice little tipple.

Appearance: Golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Malt, citrus, grass, resin.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Malt, citrus, caramel, low bitterness.

330ml. bottle as part of the Beery Christmas 2021. @home, 01/12/2021 [#4.589 Global - #483 England - #9 Thornbridge] Pours clear golden with a white head. Mostly lacing. Aroma: grapefruit, grains and bread. Taste: lemongrass, malty and orange rind. Crisp and grainy. Next one please!

33cl Fles van Hopt, Beery Christmas 2021. Goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Licht hoppig, typisch Golden Ale karakter, iets van citroenschil of citroengras, granig, wat caramel, licht bitter. Lichte body. Nah.

From Beer Hawk Beery Christmas advent box. Aroma has resin and citrus with an earthiness. Clear gold. Foamy translucent white head. Light-medium bitter. Grainy. Malty. A touch of resin mixed in with citrus. Sour edge. Light bodied. Thin. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. English Pale Ale aka a passable gold.
