Dark brown, medium head. The aroma features a fair bit of toasty malt. Medium body, touch of caramel, cocoa, and toastiness. Semi-sweet finish. Low bitterness. The malt character isn't as rich as I prefer in this style, but it's good decent complexity.

Can
Chestnut colour. Light aroma of bread, malt. The body is ok, minimal residual sweetness trying to support the flavour; the malt is simple, there is just a touch of caramel; balanced bitterness.
Marginally better than the average BC dark lager, but nothing impressive.

Re-rate (used up my credits to buy cans): Poured from 473mL can. Dark brown with small light beige head. Bread crust, some light toasted nuts, okay. Dec 17, 2021 (7/4/7/3/14=3.5): Poured from the tap. Dark brown with small light beige head. Roast malt and mild toasted nuts. Decent.

Good dark brown body and modest foam. Nice biscuit aroma, soft bitter molasses, vague coffee notes. Taste is very nice biscuit, slightly sweet, lingering toffee and peanut brittle. Quite nice.

On tap at Studio, pours a deep dark red-tinged brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out mild roasted malt, a little earthiness, and a hint of cocoa. Flavour is clean, with a nice mix of mild roast, toasted crusty bread, and a touch of dry cocoa. Sturdily structured, with everything balanced and clean; it's just not all that interesting.
