Wild pale ale

We use a custom blend of wild yeast to create this ultra crisp pale ale. Full of notes of stone fruit, we chose to dry hop this generously with citrus forward hops: Chinook, Columbus, Citra & Mosaic.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold-blonde with a medium, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Mild fruity aroma of grainy pale malt, peach, light funk and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy pale malt, tangerine, grapefruit peel, peach, light funk and floral hops in a crisp, dry, slightly sour finish. Light body with a slick texture and average carbonation. Light but flavourful.

Light clear gold body and okay foam. Soft weedy hops on the nose, vague sweetness, minimal funk. Taste is okay sweet hops, slight candy, ending refreshing but a little wet. Not bad but a little underwhelming, if that's a word.

Draught at the Alibi Room, Vancouver
Clean dark blond colour. The aroma is inviting, the yeast is providing fruity esters. Dry and lean mouthfeel; initially the yeast character is spicy, peppery, unfortunately then it gets harsh and pithy, to the point of being unpleasant and difficult to drink more than few ounces. Some greasy food may make it more palatable.

Florals and citrus. Golden pour with ok head. Bitter finish. Decent balance. Comes off more like a saison. Like sweet finish. Tap at brewery.
