There is much argument about the origins of Sticky Toffee Pudding. Was it created in a Cumbrian hotel, a Scottish hotel or a pub in Lancashire? All we know is its one of our favourite desserts, has stood the test of time since becoming popular in the early 70s and was the inspiration for this stout.
Eight speciality malts, Goldings & Fuggles hops, Vanilla Pods and Toffee extract combine to produce a delicious milk stout.

440ml can from Hoppily. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, funky yeast. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, liqourice, toffee, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Not as sweet or with as much body as expected.

440ml can. Black with a beige head. Aroma of caramel, lactose, chocolate malts. Taste is sweet, milky, caramel, vanilla, light roast and chocolate malts. Medium bodied. Doesn't quite hit the brief as well as their other stouts, it just doesn't scream sticky toffee pudding to me, but it's a decent milk stout nonetheless.
