De naam ‘Nillis’ is afgeleid van het Latijnse Nihil (niets) en Nullus (geen enkel). Daarmee doet La Trappe Nillis ook in naam recht aan wat het is: 0,0% alcohol en traditioneel 100% La Trappe.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a chalice. Clear amber brown, small stable beige frothy head, thin layer remains, light lacing. Aroma roasted and sweet malts, caramel, sweet syrup, light liquorice. Taste light light heavy sweet and slightly bitter, malty, caramel, hint off sweet apple. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, short sweet and light bitter aftertaste, caramel and candy sugar notes, good effort, well-made, okay.

For no abv it’s top notch. Unfortunately doesn’t taste all that trappist-like. Just a malty clean beer with the similar alcohol removal process taste. Bier konig ams

Pours a clear brown colour and a light beige head that quickly disappears. Aroma's: malt syrup/grainish sweet, a bit perfumey, honey. Retronasal adds light fruit. Flavour is light sweet, fruity. Light bodied. Short finish with grain, just a hint of bitterness.

0.33 l bottle from 'Beerdome', best before October 2022. Clear, dark brownish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of chemical banana, caramel and wort. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a bit fruity taste of caramel, nuts, wort and a touch of chemical banana, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Drinkable but not overly enjoyable.

Fles gekregen van Roelzie. Swerelds eerste alcohol vrije trappist. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een licht beige schuim. Het aroma is moutig, zoetig en caramel achtig. De smaak is moutig en zoetig en wat fruitig en ebt snel weg.
