Russet-cream, medium head over reddish deep-brown beer. Brown/black malts, dark green leaves, vegetables, caramel, liquorice. Halfway between dry-woody and faintly sugary caramel. Wood, plywood; wet, untreated malt. Finish again (green-dark) leafy, and a faraway, light-sourish taste. Empty MF, good carbonation, bit slick. A would-be trappist.

Dark brown colour, beige foam. Roasty, malty, some caramel and brown sugar, not to sweet, nice dark no alcohol beer.

clear chestnut to mahogany colour, large, creamy beige-ish head; aroma of toasted rye bread, nutty/roasted sunflower seeds, soy sauce, some burnt sugary and minimal anise notes; vtaste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; surprisingly good considering that it is a NA beer

As a fan of the concept of non alcoholic beers, it's a great thing to see a first NA trappist ! The beer pours - hugely to my surprise - dark copperbrown. Medium sized , seemingly stable cream-white head. Scent is generic NA, tad nuttyness as well (chestnut), caramel, but all deeply covered by the common and generic, commercial-beer-NA scent of unnatural sweet impressions. Taste is overly so as well - generic, sweet, boring, and easy to tell it's NA. pearl necklace candy, toned-dpwn-sugary fruityness (but harldy natural). Whiff of caramel. Not great, not even within the commercial beers. At least different in color, to the generic blonde I expected...

Light reddish brown, some unstable dense tan head. Smells bready, worty. Fairly sharp carbonation, underneath that quite soft but pretty watery. Something slightly metallic. There´s a good bitterness there, and it actually feels like beer. Just watery.

Light brown colour with thin head. Aroma of sweet, malty wort. Similar taste. A touch of banana sweetness too. Good effort.

The first non-alcoholic trappist beer ever to my knowledge, though ‘stepping down’ from the old ‘refterbier’ traditions of ultra-light versions of their commercial beers is probably not as far-fetched as it may seem. At Tournée Trappiste, thanks tderoeck for sharing. Pale greyish white, irregularly structured, uneven-bubbled, opening head with flat ‘veils’ in the middle of a crystal clear, amber-hued copper-brown beer. Aroma of hard caramel, dry tea bags, nutmeg, rosehip, wet toast, dried fig, clove, unsugared bubblegum. Clean, sleek onset, ‘malt fruitiness’ with a note of fig, very lively and minerally carbonation; sweetish, caramelly and cereally middle, slender as expected but with toasty-bitter edges adding body. Herbal notes in the end, tea, nutmeg, clove, remaining slender and rounded malt-bitter with a slight soapy accent which bothered me a bit. That said, this one feels quite ‘rich’ for a non-alcoholic beer, malt-forward in a bittering sense and actually not bad at all – in fact, along with VandeStreek’s Playground IPA (also Dutch), I am inclined to consider this the best alcohol-free beer I had to date. I guess it took a trappist brewery, and why not the commercially thinking guys of La Trappe, to pull that off…

Clear amber to red brown beer, small aery irregular beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: wort, grains, hint of caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: malty start, some caramel, a bit sourish, grains, a hint of toasted bread, some coffee. Aftertaste: sourish again, wort, grains, bitter finish, more raw grains, decent N/A beer!

Bottle at De Kwartel. Dark brown. Grainy, light wort, caramel, nutty and earthy. Not too sweet and medium bitter. Decent.
