Bad Attitude Two Penny Porter

Bottle. Pours with a deep brown hued body with some clarity that is slightly obscured by the shade. Large deep tan head on top with good retention and lace. Really good lace actually with a ring left per sip. Aromas are deeply roasted and slightly metallic. Bready, coffee, pine. Clean, very low esters. Bakers chocolate. Roast character is slightly acrid to me. Some brown sugar and rum like qualities. Flavors are slightly bitter with a roasted bitter balance. Stale high quality bread crusts, nice malt character, full roast, bitter chocolate. Some spice character that could be malt or hop. Low anise and a touch of black currant. Medium, slightly rich flavors with an overall thinner body. Good, medium to medium low carbonation. A touch of residual sweetness slightly amplified by the alcohol, although nothing sticky. Good drinkability for what it is. The roast character in the nose distracts a bit for me; I could easily see higher scores. Overall quite tasty.

Tiny tiny bottle. Pours black with light brown head. Nose/taste of roasted chocolate malt, lactose milk sugar, vanilla and toasted grains. Medium body.

Black color, medium sized brownish head. The aroma of roasted malt is creamy and a bit cheesy; imperfect but interesting. Good body, chocolate flavor, some roasted malt, some cardboard, medium to low bitterness, missing some ending bite.
Good, but it seems to have a stale character, not a vibrant one.

Bottle in Genoa, purchased from a small curio shop in the Genoa old town. Very dark brown beer, just about transparent. Big tan head. Light softish palate, semi dry. Mild dark malt with lacto and a little cafe latte sweet coffee. Trace of milk chocolate. Finishes frothy and dry with some minerals. A sweet porter and alright!

Bottled, thanks Bov! Near black, beige head. Licorice aroma. Sweet with full body. Flavours of tobacco and salty prunes. Long bitter finish. Intense, but quite well balanced.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroam with hints of licorice. Roasted malty bitter chocolate flavor. has a roasted malty chocolate finish with bitter hints in the aftertaste.

Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of licorice, treacle, brown sugar and plaums. Sweet dried fruit and licorice flavour. A bit cloying sweetness

Bottled @ cgarvieuk’s Need some Cupboard Space tasting. Dark brown - ruby red colour, brown head. Nose is roasted malts, coffee, liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, little spicy. Long roasty finish. Good stuff.

Bottle 330ml.Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, tobacco, light soy sauce - licorice. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, tobacco. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20110803]
