Dark roasted malts and peanut butter provides a strong nutty aroma in this imperial stout. Warm up your taste buds with the flavour of creamy peanut butter on a buttery biscuit base and a hint of saltiness. Then finish with a long sticky mouthful of maple syrup. Delightful

Spotty tan cover in still black body. Syrup, liquorice, malt & boozy aroma. Full bodied, lightly carbonated & tingly on the back. Heavy malt, syrup, smoky, toffee & treacle tastes but a huge boozy aroma. Bit hitter but a bit a rough round the edges.

Can from the Good Spirit Company. Appearance - opaque, mat black. Tan head. Nose - maple, peanut, pancake batter, and honeycomb. Taste - maple, booze, Rum and raisin. Brown sugar, maple and nuts. Palate - full bodied and generally sweet and boozy. Overall - does what it'd supposed to do. Getting bored of pastry stouts, now.

Beer from Hoptimism and day 18 of my advent. Black colour with tan head. MMth sweet maple sweet and nutty. That sounds like a lot of sweet. But it is balanced. Smooth body.

440ml can. Pitch black pour with a thin tan head. Aroma of peanut, chocolate. Taste of mild peanuts, a little maple, really weak on the adjunct front tbh, thankfully the base stout is superb, very chocolatey and a little roasty, very thick, very smooth, and not much booze at all. A fantastic stout in spite of the lacklustre adjunct usage.

Black beer with a very thin tan head. Sweet, nutty aroma. Flavour is quite nutty up front, the maple comes through after with a rich maltiness. Possibly a touch of salted caramel in there too. It's rich and smooth and the balance is good but.... I'm not big enough on nuts for this to be a winner for me. Which is a shame because with the distinct but balanced flavours, good body and hint if boozy warmth it has so much going for it but I just can't get into the nuts. I'm rating this for my benefit but if you happen to read this and like peanuts you can probably bump the score up.
