Suodattamaton tummanruskea ale. Vahva, lämmittävän maltainen ja runsaan hedelmäinen kokonaisuus. Jälkimaussa erittäin kuiva humalan puraisu.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Lightly hazy mahogany colour. Caramelly nose. Sweet with full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Peppery with some grapefruit, bready malt. Warming finish with good bitterness. Nice American style barleywine.

Flaske 500ml fra Alko Muonio. Mørk mahognyfarget. Pent tett, farget skum som daler sakte. Uklar. God bæraroma. Litt søt. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken litt tørr. Tørket frukt. Syrlig bitter etter hvert og avslutter med et visst alkoholpreg.

500ml bottle, many thanks to Finn. A finger-thick fawn-coloured head reduced to a stable layer leaving spotty lacing behind. Opaque dark brown body with a deep shade of red. Aroma of apricot, pine, almond and alcohol. Solid taste character of bread, dried fruits, almond, and malty sweetness. Malt-fruity ending with alcohol warming down the throat. Robust stuff that worked well for me as a slow sipper on a Friday eve (Tromsø 24.04.2015).

Bottle 500ml (Alko)
Dark brown color, small beige head. Aroma has plums, raisins, bread and alcohol. Medium-bodied, not so heavy on malts. Lots of dark fruits, some brown sugar in the flavor. Salted licorice & pine in the finish and then long lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Very warming, gives a quite strong alcoholic kick, so not totally in balance (yet).

Bottle. An unclear, dark amber colored beer with a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma is rather hoppy, with a good maltyness too. Caramel, some nuts and chocolate, some alcohol and piney, resiny notes. Caramel sweetness, alcohol, some bready notes, lots of bitterness and flavors of pine cones and resins. It’s full-bodied and lightly warming, with a soft carbonation level. Lasting bitter, caramel sweet and hoppy finish. Although a tad too warming, it’s a fine brew indeed. 150228
