It seems Mr Strutt, the inventor of the Derby Rib machine, spent his time in the same places we pick apples. Born in South Normanton, and setting up his cotton mill in Belper, he has links to Notts and Derby. He was a true entrepreneur, a pioneer of his time.

Made from a blend of locally collected and Herefordshire apples mixed with pineapple. This cider has a tart apple taste and a lingering tropical finish. The subtle hint of pineapple comes from a 100% fruit concentrate.

500ml bottle from Two Shires. Slightly hazy golden colour, some bubbles on top that dissipate away and aroma of apple, acetic funk, fruity, pineapple hint. Taste is sweet, apple, fruity, pineapple juice, alittle funk, with some acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry acidic finish. Quite OK
