2020 vintage, pét nat style ciderkin with quince
Hard Rain, made from the second pressing of apples with the addition of water, is our modern interpretation of an old historic drink, ciderkin.
So into tank we pressed the pomace from two types of Quince along with a little Ellis Bitter, straight onto the lees of our Disco Nouveau cider. We left it to ferment spontaneously before bottling it as a pét nat. Bright, floral, tropical and naturally low in alcohol it’s super refreshing and totally crushable!

2025 bottle at the source poured by James, thank you sir! Hazy to cloudy deep golden color, light fizz that settles quickly. Aroma of apple skins, subtle stonefruit. Taste is fruity, lightly earthy, light funk, light citrus. decent.

22/7/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours hazy pale yellow green gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of sharp green apple, citrus, quince, touch of herb. Light sweetness and moderate tart with a slight salty edge. Moderate body, gently fizzy carbonation. Refreshing drop.

750ml bottle from Little Pomona. Opened with a pop. Hazy pale yellow colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of quince, fruity, citric, funky hint. Taste is slight tart, funky, orchardy, with quince and citric notes, tangy. Light watery bodied, light carbonation, dry clean finish. Quite drinkable.
