This cider is made with juice pressed from local apple James Grieve (a variety originating in Edinburgh but seems to love the Highlands), this cider was wild fermented through the winter in ex whisky casks. Bottled pet-nat very close to being finished so only a light sparkle. This one is all about that fantastic jangly acid that James Grieve is famed for, similar to a bag of tangfastics, fruity and sharp. Vegan. Gluten free. 750ml. 6.5%

Bottle at Ash's. Pours clear pale yellow with no head. Aromas of light apple and faint sulphur. Taste is more of the same. Light body, dry finish.

75cl bottle. Appearance - light haze and pale golden green. Very still. Nose - light green apple. A touch of sweet fruit. Taste - again, light apple, a bit more red this time. Palate - light bodied, dry finish. Overall - decent.

Bottle at ash's. Pours clear golden, nose is toffee, vanilla, apple, citrus, taste is chewy toffee, sweet, juicy apple.

On tap at Brauhaus, pours a cloudy blonde, no head. Aroma brings out light funk, crisp apple skins, and light core. Flavour is dry and gently funky, with crisp apple skins, apple core, and a touch of farmhouse notes. Dry and crisp, with some gentle whiskey character on the finish. Pleasant but nothing amazing.

750ml bottle from Cat in the Glass. Slightly hazy pale yellow gold colour, short-lived white bubbly head and aroma of apple, fruit, hint of honey, woody. Taste is sharp, tart, apple, fruity, fleshy, some skin, honey-like hint, with citric acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tart acidic finish. Quite drinkable.
