This is a bottle conditioned medium cider.

John Batchelor (1937-2018) planted his first orchard in his garden in 1985, selecting only cider apples. He later extended into the lower field, grafting selected varieties to suit his unique west country style dry cider. In 2015 the new cider barn was built. Friends of JB continue to produce his cider today.

500ml bottle from Scrattings. Orangey deep golden colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of spicy apple, barnyard, horseblanket funk. Taste is tangy, apple, spicy, woody, earthy, leather, barnyard funk, with drying tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
