A showcase of South East England apples: fresh apple, floral blossom and complex acidity. Three varieties fermented and individually matured for 20 months before bottle conditioning and a further 6 months on the lees prior to disgorging. Aromas of ripe apples rise from the glass, dried fruit and apricots with a warm mature character. Crisp and dry to taste with complex acidity up front, fruit character and a textured biscuit finish. Enjoy with foods such as good fish and chips, muscles, oysters and scallops.

29/3/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear pale gold with a quick dissipating white head. Aroma is semi-sweet apple, apricot, fruit cake. Moderate sweetness with nice fruity tangy bitter/tart combo. Moderate body, a touch watery, average carbonation. Crisp drying tart slightly acidic finish. Liked it.

750ml bottle from Scrattings. Sparkling, pale yellow golden colour, big foamy white head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of apple flesh, caramel. Taste is tart, apple, fleshy, some pulp, fruity, with yeasty notes, caramel hints and some citric acidity. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, drying tart finish. Nicely drinkable.
