Hazy amber brown beer, short lived bubbly tan head. Fairly light palate, mildly dry, the carbonation is there, just, flirting with flat is this beer. Smooth caramel malts, not that sweet. Wet wood in the mid. Rounded cognac, ripe and fruity on the back. A kind of nothing finish. Like the barrelling here but the barleywine backbone is both fairly flat and lacks any depth whatsoever.

Pours a dark brown colour with no head. Aroma's: grape juice first, cognac, later wood, barrel, a bit musty. Retronasal it's cognac, musty, a bit moldy even, alcohol. Flavour is light moderate sweet, alcohol. Medium bodied. Hardly any carbonation. Long finish. Room for improvement.
