Bottled & Keg. A brooding, heavyweight stout, crammed with intense, deep-roast specialty malts. A recipe 8 months in the making with multiple edits before we were happy to proceed, in the end it was a delight to brew.

330 ml bottle from Saveur Bière.
Black body, with a medium, creamy, coffee colored bead.
Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, dark fruits.
Tastes of dark chocolate, dry coffee, cocoa, wood, liquorice, dark fruits, tobacco.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes roasty-bitter, alcoholic, with coffee, liquorice, wood, dry cocoa, tobacco.
Tasty. Very strong dry-roasty, with a quite well hidden alcohol. The tobacco and liquorice notes are a bit too strong for my taste, I prefer it a bit more smooth. Still a pleasant, dark, heavy sipper.

330ml bottle at home shared by Saeglopur, many thanks. black color, small dark coffee-colored head. smells lightly smoked, malty roast, some dark fruits, spices, coffee, some chocolate. full body, soft carbonation, full mouthfeel. tastes of ash, malty roast, coffee, bitter chocolate, light glueish, peat, very subtle smoke notes, some cream, a bit alcoholic, spices. finishes dry with peat and roast notes. very good, a bit too strong notes of peat / glue though.

Flaska från Saveur-bieré delad med Daniel. Kolsvart, tjock mörkbeige skum. En fantastisk tjock söt doft med sötlakrits, rom russin, tung söt melass, espresso, choklad. Smakbilden är relativt söt, hårt rostad och alkholstark utan att den slår igenom. Rund mjuk munkänsla. Riktigt maffig!

Bottle at home, from Beer Gonzo, 17/05/15. Pitch black topped with a dirty tan head that dissipates to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is rich roast, light spice, liquorice stick, dark chocolate, dark toffee fudge, light pepper, molasses. Taste comprises rich malt, molasses, peppery spice, bitter dark fruit, earthy, dark chocolate, light mineral notes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light warming booze in the close. Solid impy, great bitter/sweet balance, never becomes to sweet and cloying.

Bottle at Buxton, pours black with a medium tan head. Nose brings out deep roasted malt, some caramel, and fudge - pretty intense and unadulterated. Flavour is decadent, with a fantastic balance of roasted malt, dry cocoa, some wood and more roast to finish. Intense but well-constructed and pretty well-concealed on the alcohol. Everything is harmonious, making it pretty easy to drink for a near-12% impie. Excellent.

Whats Brewing 2014. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, alcohol, caramel. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, alcohol, caramel, molasses, caramel. Full body. Pleasent very nice beer.

Bottle. Black beer, small brown head. Nice aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Rich taste of cacao, bitter coffee, little vanilla, red sourish fruit and prime. Bitter warming finish. Amazing ris. Even the after-burps taste good.
