Black IPAs sind immer ein kleiner Mindfuck für mich. Fruchtig, malzig, bitter, Karamell, was??? Echt schwer das gut zu kombinieren. Klappt hier grad so - ist aber auch nicht gerade mein liebster Bierstil. Da kollidieren halt grundsätzlich unterschiedliche Geschmacksrichtung.

355ml can. Murky, darkest brown colour with average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, dark beige to tan head. Citrusy hoppy and roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of cocoa, chocolate, coffee, hints of lemon, orange, mandarine with a zesty touch, some grass and chlorophyll as well. Taste is dry, grassy and zesty, citrusy hoppy, roasty and chocolately dark malty, notes of orange, lemon, mandarine, lemon zest, hints of cocoa, coffee. Not fully harmonious, malty and hoppy flavours remain slightly separated due to the high-grade dryness; some more sweetness could build a bridge. Not bad, though.
