A strong lager matured on chestnut chips. The rich sweetness of the lightly caramelized barley malt shines bright, balanced by the nuances of the earthy bitterness of Sladek hops and hints of booziness. The smoky nuttiness of the toasted chestnut wood chips brings this bock as close as possible to what has been brewed in wooden barrels in Einbek since the 14th century.

250ml draught shared with Finn at Labietis Centraltirgus. Spotty lacing from covering beige head, clear amber body. Subdued mid-sweet earthy malts on the nose. Malt-forward taste of mild caramel malts and earth. Drying close, mid-sweet. Just okay. (Riga, 08.11.2025)

Smell- weak, acidic, sour-feeling. Foam- thin, malty bit spicy. Head is to the small side, white color. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, but a simple label. Clear, yellow, orange amber color, no carbonation. From - snifter Taste - thin, malty, faint sour, faint acidic. Nothing special to be honest.
