Bottle from Linda shop, Burton on Trent (not listed on RB) – drank at home to celebrate Jani. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a medium sized frothy beige head, and fairly low carbonation. Roast malts and dried fruit to the fore in the aroma – plus traces of caramel and chocolate. In the mouth it’s fairly sweet with a mainstay of roasted malts again, plus figs, chocolate and black bread. Finish is slightly dry and spicy. This is decent.
