Bottle. Clear light to medium brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark bread. Flavor is moderate sweet and light malt bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (080308)

Milder Malzantrunk. Nettes Dunkel, schlechtes Schwarzbier. Test vom 2.4.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,8,9,8,9,9 - 8,50

On tap at Berliner Bierfestival. Clear, dark brown beer with an off-white head. Quite malty nose, with some garbage like notes in the background. Else it is a bit one-dimentional. The flavor has some roast and a little hint of cooked vegetables, with some caramel and hops as well. Weak finish with roast and some bitterness. Medium body. Not a too succesful dunkel. (070803)

Draught at BBF07. Clear dark brown colour. No aroma. Roasted flavour. Some malt bitterness. Quite boring.

(33cl bottle) Murky brown, almost black coloured hue with a reddish shine and a medium-sized, not very persistent tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet, slightly roasted malt aroma with dried fruits and shy notes of toffee and a whiff of hops. Light-bitter flavour with even lighter sweetish side effects, light bodied with a medium carbonation. Discreet roasty malty taste with light notes of caramel and wet leaves; slim and dry-ish, malt-accented finish with a light herbal hops presence. Pretty average brew.
