Gulpener Sjoes, voor wie het echte Limburg proeven wil. De combinatie van onze klassiekers Pilsner en Oud Bruin vormt Gulpener Sjoes. Een bier als de perfecte melange. Een beetje bitter om je scherp te houden en een zoete nasmaak voor nog meer gezelligheid. Dat maakt onze Sjoes de favoriet van onze regio. Echt Limburgs! Gulpener Sjoes is goed te combineren met stevige, pittige maaltijden en gerechten met licht zoete smaak.

Bottle 0,3ltr: Brown coloured brew with the taste of an fresh pilsener mixed with de sweetness of an Dutch oud bruin.

The sweetness of the oud bruin pushes away the pilsener bitterness. Not surprisingly, ’cause Gulpener pils isn’t very bitter. Creamy, even a bit honeyish but also a bit thin. Not too bad, except for the caramelly bitterness in the aftertaste.

Sweet with lots of caramel. Not bad, but would be lots better with some acidity. Disappointing

*Old rating, best before Jul 10. Interesting mix. Nice a bit sweetish Pils aroma together with the sweetish-malty (but nice) Oud Bruin. Malty-bitter till the end, easy to drink, interesting.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks kerenmk. Clear amber. Aroma of malt, caramel and a a bit of graininess. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, a candy note, a grainy hint, light toastiness and a slightly drier finish with faint bitterness. Quite light-bodied.

30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Brown with an off-white head. Sweetish malt aroma. Sweet taste with some malts but otherwise pretty thin. Boring and forgettable.

bottle pours clear lighter brown, small white head smells malty, bit grains rather low carbo very malty taste . lager shines trough the most . nice , rather complex sweet back from the oud bruin i supose pretty thin mouthfeel . yet enough taste for the abv
