Bottle. Hazy copper liquid with small to medium off-white head. Aroma of biscuit, earth, candy, grass, bread and British yeast esters. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of biscuit, earth and flowery hops. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty nice.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, knäck med toner av apelsin, aprikos, choklad och torkad frukt. Välbalanserad, lagom söt och fruktig.

Bottle. Pours brown with a smll off white head. Aroma has got notes of nuts an syrup. Taste starts out sweet of caramel and chocolate. Maybe a bit too sweet. Also notes of semi dark bread. The hops has got a grassy character. Ends quite dry.

Bottle, at Schouskjelleren, shared by bergstaden. A more or less clear one, golden to amber in color and with a dense, light beige head of moderate size. Lightly fruity nose with a touch of sourness. A bit sweet, with dried fruits, berries and some caramel hits. A faint touch of bitterness towards the end. Definitely not my choice of ESB. 111014

330 ml bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours hazy dark chestnut brown with a big frothy off-white head that leaves some trace on the glass while slowly dissipating. Smell is sweet and malty with dark bread, golden syrup, burnt caramel, wood, chestnuts, orange zest and hints of hay and spices. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, raisins, bread, dried apricots, orange zest, grass and hints of roasted malts, pine and toffee. Mouthfeel is slightly sour, tiny oily bitter and light bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with bread, dried apricots, orange zest and oily pine. A nice surprise that I found worked well served with rustic food.
