16 oz. can. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a medium, bubbly, light brown head. The aroma is caramelized sugar, mild coffee, faint coconut, and some light tannins. Sweet and sugary, with a bit of roasted bitterness. Heavy body, with a thick, chalky, and malty mouthfeel. This is a malt-forward, smooth, and enjoyable brown.

Pours dark caramelly brown, small white head. Smell is mild caramel, some chocolate. Taste is full, chocolaty, caramel, malty, bit earthy. Kinda tastes a bit stale and older ( no oxidation, more like actual 'stale' taste. Is it the lines, or the beer, though?

16 oz can poured, sent over by Jow. Huge thanks for this one! A dark and dense brown pour, tons of darker tan foam head and sticky lacing. Thick body, full of toasty, bready malt, caramel, maple. Slight nutty grain in the background. A really flavorful brown. Cool to see this style still show up from time to time, and in this case, done really well. Seems to me like Florida breweries know how to do the style well. A couple memorable ones now. Really interesting and delicious flavor going on with this brew. Very good.

On tap at J. Wakefield, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted bready malt, a little caramel and toasted nuts. Flavour brings out caramel malt, some bready notes and toasted nuts. Lots of caramel and bready malt. Bold for a brown. Nice stuff.

Can at home who makes brown ales anymore? Lovely deep chestnut brew fine head. Nose is chocolate and nuts. Tastes of chocolate, earth, nutty almond, hazelnut. Water chestnut. Smooth palate. Decent change of pace.
