Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours an unexpectedly murky deep brown colour with a thick and dense foamy off-white head. The aroma is sweet and sticky, over ripe stones fruits, dirty peach, dried apricot, spicy, earthy and creme caramel. The taste is dry with some bitterness upfront, quite bitter, harsh feel, almost burnt, woody, cacao nibs, tannin, spicy and waxy orange citrus peel with a dry and almost burnt finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. I can't imagine this turned out they way they had wanted it... Harsh. A rare miss for Windswept.
