Brown, clear, no head. Aroma of burnt sugar, caramel, an unfortunate whiff of sulfite. Sweet, dark fruits, a little bland. With BG

Ultramørk amber. Skumring med litt farge. Lett krydderaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken nøtter & lakris. Tørr, forsiktig bitter avslutning.

Bottle. An unclear dark brown beer with a minimalistic beige head. The aroma is quite malty, with molasses, licorice, roasted malts, some alcohol, quite a lot of cocoa, some alcohol a touch of coffee. It's full-bodied, soft and quite low on carbonation, with a roasted malts kind of bitterness. Some alcohol warmth. The flavor too is more or less entirely on the roasted malts side, with oats, molasses, some licorice and burnt malts, with a sourish dark dried fruit touch and cocoa. Salty licorice does most of the work in the finish. Sort of dull this one. A bit more carbonation would've helped. 220601

330ml bottle, #185, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Bubbly, beige head to a deep black body, scattered lacing. Smoothly roasted chocolate malts on the nose, promising. Dark malt-driven taste profile, including elements of black chocolate, bread, and liquorice. Well roasted malty finish, warming and long-lived. Full bodied. Nice sipper, celebrating winter solstice (Tromsø 21.12.2021).
