Bottle. Black with a dense tan head that fades to under a cm. Roasty aroma with coffee, spices, pine, seaweed. Silky texture. Needs sweetness to balance bitter and acrid notes - it has that but not much more. Long bittersweet, singed and slightly seaweedy finish. Very nice and not just because it doesn't contain cake batter.

Can. Nice looking, very dark brown, practically black body under a big, dense beige head. Aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, spicy yeast and hint of peat. Taste is sweet and smooth, dark malt, chocolate, coffee, hint of nuts and lovely balanced peat. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice one.

Delt med A-L. Svart. Høyt luftig mokkafarget skum. Aroma av lakris & sjokolade. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken søt. Mest sjokolade. Litt kaffe. Tørr, svakt bitter avslutning.

Bottle. It's close to black in the glass, topped by a dense, two-finger light tan head. Cute lacing. The aroma is lightly oxidized, with licorice, roasted malts, some coffee and dark chocolate, some biscuity notes and a touch of alcohol. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and quite sweet, with a faintly boozy hint. Roasted malts, licorice tending towards molasses, coffee and chocolate hints, brown sugar, some piney, citrusy hops and a very soft hoppy bitterness. Lasting finish. Pleasant, tasteful and moreish. Perhaps a bit sweet, but sure nice. 220105
