Bottle from their Advent calendar. Black indeed with a light tan head that fades to an inch or so. Aroma of mocha brioche, nectarines, oranges. A fair bit of carbonation but smooth textured and only fullish bodied. Taste confirms this one is more like a big Belgian twist on Dark Harvest: very fruity, soft dough, mocha more than roast, moderate, somewhat piney bitterness that builds to become maybe a little overbearing. Continues last year's return to form. Dangerously drinkable.
