A highly-hopped American IPA using Calypso and Centennial hops, with flavours of tropical fruits and citrus with an undercurrent of earthy tea notes. Utilising a carefully selected malt base we have achieved a pitch black, complex ale with a smooth and chocolatey mouthfeel without any of those typical roasty stout flavours.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a reddish hue and a lasting bubbly off-white head? The aroma is roasty malt, dank, piney hops. The flavour is strong bitter, with a super dry, smooth, dry spicy, light floral, light citrus hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A glossy dark chestnut brown pour with a tight beige head; aroma of red fruit; sweet fruity taste with a gentle resinous bitterness that builds up slowly; and a satisfying finish with burnt grains and a touch of spice. A nice dark IPA.
