Shiga Kogen Fresh Hop IPA 6.5% Matte gold with a thick rocky head that lingers and a slightly fruity but mostly herbal hop bouquet that smells quite fresh. Medium to full bodied with a slight citrus up front then big herbal green vegetal bitterness. I kind of get the feeling these are a Japanese grown C-hop like cascade or centennial. Definitely one of the nicer domestic fresh hop beers. Roughly 600¥ to boot. From 2022.

Nice light gold color with smfluufyvwhute foam that was gone fast. Light bodied and crisp the overall feel is bitter but balance. Nice stuff, much more enjoyable than the Fresh hop ale.

On tap at Hopped Up. Pours clear light golden with a medium sized white head, light lacing. Floral, grassy, pine, mild bitter. Ok

Bottle from the brewery. Fresh nose, herbal, piny, minty, apricots, oranges. Hazy deep golden color. Very piny, resiny flavor, some tropical fruit and citrus, bready malt. Finish is grassy and very bitter. The body is crisp and light. A fun beer, very grassy and resiny and herbal. Somewhat too bitter, but I got used to it. These guys know how to work with fresh hops--unlike just about everyone else in Japan. They're not the greatest hops but they work in this.
