I didn't think much of this beer but I honestly don't think I have ever enjoyed a chocolate cherry beer. I'm not actually that nuts about it as a dessert or candy or whatever. But as a beer. No. And this one, clashing bitterness, alcohol and poorly-developed chocolate and cherry elements, well, it wasn't ever going to change my mind.

On tap at Shore Line, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals gentle tart cherry and some dry cocoa powder, but it's pretty faint. Flavour is similar, with light cocoa and cherry, and a soft toasted malt base. Needs much more oomph. Drinkable but very underwhelming. Not good.

473ml can. Pours a clear dark ruby with a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of lightly roasted malt, cherry, dark chocolate and raisin. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, raisin, plum, cherry and dark chocolate in a dry, mild bitter, day old coffee finish. Medium body with a sticky, syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Almost cloying, but not bad.
