Helio Hefeweizen is a refreshing, golden wheat beer. Wheat and Citra hops give Helio a zesty, citrus finish. Gently rouse the yeast in the bottom of the bottle to add a bread-like flavor. Helio, which comes from the Greek word meaning sun, celebrates our brewery’s larges solar array, that not only heats our brewery and taproom, but also generates hot water used in the entire brewing process.

355ml bottle. (5.9% ABV) Pours a cloudy gold with a small, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Mild, sweet aroma of wheat malt, bread, lemon and light yeast. Sweet flavour of wheat malt, orange, lemon, bread and yeast with a slightly dry finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. A mediocre wheat ale, hard to believe it won any awards.

Pours a hazy gold from a bottle. Aroma slightly of honey, lacking the banana noted I would expect. Flavor similar, watery, biscuity. Meh.

It pours a clear light gold with a small and quickly shrinking head of foam. Lacing is spotty.

Lots of lemon citrus in the nose, that and some bread.

Very lemon citrus forward in the taste with a mild back up quality of bread. 2 dimensional and not the 2 that I expected for the style at all.

Light bodied, medium carbonation.

I’m glad I picked a bottle for a build your own 6 pack and not a dedicated one. This is not something I would want to revisit.

Tap @ The Silver Dollar in Cody, WY. Light, cloudy blonde pour with a huge white head. Nose is grassey, light wheat, and some faint maltiness. Tastes more wheaty and malty with a very light amount of florals. Light lemon is present, but it does feel a bit thin and watery.
