Roast and a little caramel. Not a lot of depth. Black pour with decent head. Light bitter end. Can.

Well I can tell by the way it fizzed up and died I am bound to be saddened. But of course I never expected it to be my favourite Deviation, that won't happen. But it's light, thin, not much complexity and what is with the vanilla? When making an Irish Stout you should always filter your recipe through the question of would I serve this to Shane MacGowan. I would not.

Black, large tan head. Lightly sweet vanilla nose, more prominent in palate. Very light roast character. More of a sweet rather than dry stout

Great nitro foam on a dark brownish black body. Soft malt on the nose, a bit of biscuit. Taste is smooth biscuit, chewy molasses, lingering sweetness. Kind of okay, but pretty forgettable.

On tap at Category 12, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Nose is light, with toasted malt, a touch of coffee and dry cocoa. Flavour is similar, with dry earthy coffee and slight cocoa powder. Light-bodied and easy drinking. Decent.
