This is a two-part collaboration, with Bellwoods releasing Crowbar a super juicy IPA with New Zealand hops at their brewery a few weeks ago. We decided to really lean into what our respective breweries do best, with us living the lager life and brewing a super crisp and aromatic NZ Pilsner here featuring the same combo of hops.
Featuring a base of Harrington Pilsner, we mash-hopped, first wort hopped, and late hopped with Rakau and Moteuka, and fermented low and slow with lsar lager yeast. Krausened and dry hopped with an assertive amount of Motueka and Pacifica, and a bit of Rakau, then lagered for 5 weeks.
Ultra crisp, big foam, and some gorgeous + zippy tropical hop aromatics of stone fruit, lime, and apricot.

Pale and hazy with a thick head. Lots of honeyish, floral hops and sweet pale malt. Moderate bitterness, floral and fruity hops. Clean pale malts. Could even stand to be a touch drier.

355ml can. Pours a clear gold with a large, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick patches of lace. Aroma of bready pale malt, lemon zest, lime and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, orange zest, apricot and light resin in a dry, mild bitter, grassy hop finish. Light body with a slick texture and average carbonation. Tasty, refreshing and crushable.
