2022年最初のリリースは、昨年にも好評いただいた、アメリカン・ベルゴスタイル・エール（American-Belgo-Style Ale）の最新作。 主役のホップはNelson Sauvin。白ワイン、とりわけソーヴィニヨン・ブランのような香りを持つニュージーランド産のホップです。これに、同じく白ブドウに例えられる香りを持つHallertau Blanc、そして、トロピカルフルーツやベリー、柑橘など複雑な香りを持つMosaic、Cascade、Mandarina Bavariaを組み合わせました。セゾンイーストらしいドライな飲み口に、わずかな酸味が相まって、杯を重ねて飲みたくなる仕上がりです。
This time of release is a Hoppy Saison brewed with Saison yeast, which originated in Belgium, combined with hops used in current American IPAs. According to the Beer Style Guidelines (published by the US Brewers Association), this style is classified an "American-Belgo-Style Ale". This time, the main hop is Nelson Sauvin. The top aroma is good combination of hops and ether from Belgian yeast and have an elegant bitterness for aftertaste, but the finish is slightly dry. It tastes complex, like white wine by using Nelson Sauvin hop and like white grapes by using Hallertau Blanc, Cascade, and Mosaic hop is using for tropical fruits flavor.

Taster showing very well filtered pale straw with a finger of clean white foam.
The nose shows moderately intense but clean notes of Belgian yeast with a clean pineapple hop background.
The palate is well carbonated and light to medium bodied. Pineapple juice forward but completely dry with a moderate Belgian yeast backbone and a balanced bitterness on the finish.

On tap at Frankey Tavern. Pours clear light golden with a small white head, some lacing. Belgian malts, straw, grains, pine. Tasty

Nara Function American-Belgian style ale 6% 24 IBU Clear copper with dense off-white foam and big peppery clove Belgian aroma. Full bodied and very dry. Super spice cloves and white pepper, I am surprised there’s no wheat in this but if there was I guess It’d be cloudy. This feels like if a Weizen and a saison had a baby. Very interesting.
