Keg at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Light gold, a little bit hazy with a tight creamy white head. Lemony aroma, a little bit eggy (not sulphrous) with grassy notes. Bittersweet taste, light citrus ending with a medicinal bitterness in the finish. Watery body, heavy carbonation. A bit on the bland side but drinkable.

Half cask at the Two Tailed Lion. Pale, clear golden, wispy head, streaky lacing. Light smoky aroma, fruity, sweet. Smoke still prominent in the taste, woody, muted sweetness, chalky. Interesting profile.

Tap at the Ale Rooms, Knowle, sold as “The Midlander”. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, fresh, light citrus, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
