Cask at Maltingsfest 2023. POurs clear-ish amber gold with a white cap. Aroma: malt, fruit, citrus. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, towards dry, malt, light caramel, spicy hop. Medium body with soft carbonation

Bottle at McKenzie's Café & Bistro, Swanage. Aroma is malty, sweet and fruity. A haze to the amber body. Creamy white head just clings to the rim. Light-medium sweet with a sour edge. As per the aroma it's malt driven. Caramel and tinned fruit. Develops a bitter spicy streak. Medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish with some dryness. Pale Ale/Golden Ale - in this case an example of why on Ratebeer the former was always added as the latter. OK if not particularly inspiring. 3.2
