Celebrating our 1,000th batch of beer, we took inspiration from one of our first collaborations brewed with Three Floyds. Tonnerre Neige (Thunder Snow) debuted all the way back in 2013 at our preview pop-up at Black Rock Pub: a mixed fermented cross between a Belgian-style golden ale and a "Super Saison." So with this homage to our first commercial batch of beer, we pitted Belgian saison yeast against French farmhouse ale yeast. Echoing the constant bickering between Belgium’s French and Flemish speaking regions, we let these two yeasts duke it out in a rustic cousin of farmhouse ales from the mining regions of Belgium known as "Grisette" where they created complex notes of black pepper, intense pear, and bubblegum with a dry, spritzy finish

Multiple cans from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clearish straw gold with a huge soapy, off-white head that lingers. Aromas of barnyard funk, clove, banana pie and lemon pith & zest. Crisp and clean on the palate with a slight creamy note underneath. Perfect amount of funk, clove, banana and citrus. Cheers to Off Color and 1000 batches!
