On tap at Ruzanuvol, Valencia. Not sure of the age, mine was a 9% barley wine. Hazy orange to amber with off-white head. Caramel, malty, dried fruit, piney notes. Medium bodied. Sweet.

Kick 170316. Golden-orange colour with an off-white head. Flavour is sourness, citrus, hop, peaches, tropical fruits, pine, dried fruits, alcohol, caramel. Weird beer.

Pours hazy orange/amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol and fruitiness. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, caramel and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Tap @ Kick. Unclear orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma has malt, caramel, dry fruit and some alcohol. Flavor is like expected from aroma, sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit, medium bitterness and warming alcohol. Fine body and aftertaste in the same direction as the rest. This one has some barley wine qualities, but becomes a bit one dimensional and almost “dead” in a way. More like just another strong and sweet beer with alcohol finish.

On tap at Kick. An unclear orange-golden colored beer with a small, dense off-white head. The aroma is lightly alcoholic, with fruityness, cellar and some caramel. It’s full bodied, smooth and semi dry, with flavors of peaches, pine cone notes and some caramel. Decent bitterness. Lasting fruity finish with caramel and some cellar. Sort of dusty. Not my kind of beer. 160407

Hell getreidig malziger Beginn, trocken, leicht alkoholisch. Würzig, trocken bleibend, steigend herb. Halbwegs süffig, zum Ende malzig. 10/10/10/10/11/10

Supert krankupp på Circus 25.1.16 sammen med Ovesen. Dette har vært en uventet stor opplevelse, 10 av de 12 ølene har vært i klassen gode til fremragende, og vi er nå kommet til kveldens siste. Lett uklar gylden (de filterer aldri, iflg bryggeren Agostino) og flott skum. Nok en velkomponert øl, men jeg synes den minner mer om en DIPA enn en barley wine.Frisk og ganske saftig fruktighet (appelsin og grapefrukt, litt mandler og aprikos?). Muligens har den et lite snev av sherry helt mot slutten. Polaris er en av humlene som er brukt.

From tap at Cirkus with JMD 25.01.16. Orange. Off-white head and lacing. Aroma of oranges, sourness and malt. Similar taste, with orange sourness. Also a hint of very fine sherry. Excellently balanced and drinkable. Warming alcohol in aftertaste.
