faint pale straw body. Seems like a lot of sweet apple on the nose, faint marzipan. Taste is plenty of sweet honey, vague marzipan, ending a little boozy. Okay, a little lacklustre.

2016 vintage, bottle at Campbell's Gold, pours a clear blonde. Aroma brings out dry fermented out honey. Flavour is bone dry, with a tart citric note. This base mead is quite harsh and not very palatable. Not very good.

Bottle at the meadery, synthetic cork, vintage 2010
Pale color. Mild and delicate aroma: honey, flowers, with a hint of fruitiness. Semi-dry mead, with good balance, avoiding the bitterness sometimes associated to dry meads, low acidity, with floral accents.
Pleasant.
