Great Rift was our first ever milk stout, and in typical WB fashion we thought we should ramp it up a little. Brewed with mountains of lactose, generous additions of oats and an extensive range of dark malts, this luxurious stout has that classic silky mouthfeel and goes down far too easily for a 13.5% stonker. The artwork is inspired by the dark but beautiful 'Great Rift' in astronomy; a series of non-luminous, molecular dust clouds located between the Solar System and the Milky Way. Mad props to our superstar Tina who is a wizard with the artwork.

27/XI/23 - 44cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ Zytho Class, Syntra (Gent), BB: 31/XII/26 (2023-1112)
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: some soy sauce, some chlorine, caramel, chocolate, malty, soft roast. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body, creamy texture. Taste: very sweet start, sugary, alcohol, some caramel, yeasty, more alcohol. Aftertaste: chocolate, lots of caramel, lactose, chocolate milk, very nice!
