We found a distinctive ex-speyside whisky barrel with finesse. It provides characteristics of light cherries, stewed fruits and a spirit character reminiscent of the finest Speyside single malts. Despite the high alcohol content, the base stout has a much lighter flavour profile compared with other barrels, and was a perfect beer to infuse with freshly ground hazelnuts.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is huge hazelnut, roasted, chocolate, caramel, fudge, taste is similar, sweet, chewy, nutty.
