An Equatorial Detour was blended with the express intent of raising the humidity in any room. A mixed fermentation blend showcasing a playful series of handoffs between the tart, medium acidity our blends are known for, a firm funk background, and the expressive nature of fruit only the tropics can produce. Our house blend of microbes help create the crisp layers underpinning the bold, vibrant nose, and characteristic mixed fermentation dryness, presenting contrary to what our minds expect when we think of fruit. There are many fruited beers on the market today, we consider this blend to be the Detour from conventional fruited ales.

Fast disappearing cream tinted head over hazy orange beer. Nice inviting fruity nose with peach, citrus, raspberry, melon, nectarine etc. Lactic acid. Lactic acid, citric acid, Bretts all over the place (the right ones!). Very tart, lemony, unripe stonefruit. Lipsmacking acidity, sharp acidburn, acidthinning, good carbonation. Not for the fainthearted. But once more, a very noteworthy brewery to explore.

Sample from bottle at Bistro Zizkov, Östersund. Funky tropic aroma. Peach colour. Very mature type of sour. Pleasant drinking, even if it turned the stomach a bit.

750mL bottle sampled at Weathered 2023, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice wild funk, with stone fruits, and all sorts of bugs. Flavour is buggy and pleasantly tart, with lots of stone fruits, bugs, and a bit of acetone. Too acidic, but the funk and stone fruit is very nicely expressed.

750ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a cloudy gold-orange with a medium, fizzy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Funky, fruity aroma of grainy wheat malt, brett, guava, orange, apricot, peach, mango and oak. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, guava, passion fruit, mango, apricot, peach, orange, grapefruit, lemon, brett and oak in a dry, tart, acidic, lacto finish. Medium body with an oily texture and lively carbonation. Juicy and complex.
