An Equatorial Detour was blended with the express intent of raising the humidity in any room. A mixed fermentation blend showcasing a playful series of handoffs between the tart, medium acidity our blends are known for, a firm funk background, and the expressive nature of fruit only the tropics can produce. Our house blend of microbes help create the crisp layers underpinning the bold, vibrant nose, and characteristic mixed fermentation dryness, presenting contrary to what our minds expect when we think of fruit. There are many fruited beers on the market today, we consider this blend to be the Detour from conventional fruited ales.

473ml can bought as part of a delivery from RAD Beer and drunk at home. Orange/pink, slightly watery-looking and mostly clear with a pinkish-white ring of head. Funky almost vinegary aroma, with guava and peach firmly behind it. Sour, sour taste. Some different fruit notes here, such as passionfruit and gooseberry, underripe blueberry, along with guava. Settles in a short to medium finish. Light to medium body with fairly fierce carbonation. Great stuff.

Bottleshare at Chez Frog. Can. A light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Light palate, pretty dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin and sweet malts but, they are overwhelmed by tart dried fruits. Dry crisp finish. Not bad but fucken dry.

Superficial festival rating @ Rebel Beer Fest 2024. Unclear pink body with almost no head. Acidic aroma, lemon, sour fruit, unripe white berries. Taste is quite acidic as well with lemon, vinegar, funky Brett and a little hint of yoghurt. Very acidic, but still nice.
