The First release in our “New Orthodox” IPA series, M-43 is designed to accentuate the deep and complex character from the combination of Calypso, Amarillo, Citra, and Simcoe hops. Citrus and Tropical notes of Pineapple, Mango and Grapefruit come through in the huge, yet surprisingly delicate aroma. The flavor backs these aromas with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Hop bitterness is not particularly intense, which leads to a very drinkable, juicy IPA even non-IPA fans love. The Haze is not from yeast, but rather from an interplay of lipids from the malted oat and oils and acids which naturally occur in the hand selected Dry hops. This beer is a perfect interplay between top grade malt and hops, MI water and brewing technique which cannot be faked.

16 oz can from Tavour, 3/2/20. Fully hazed orange color, off white head, strong, streaky lacing. Citrus, grass, pale malt. Clean and easy drinking. Very refreshing feel. Gets slightly herbal, and a little tropical too on the later palate. Stickiness is mild. Quite good but not great overall, still this is something I was happy to drink. 7/4/7/3/15

Canned, from glasbanken.se. Cloudy golden, firm mid sized head. Aroma of lime and tangerine. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Mostly key lime, some grapefruit. The 65 IBU are well hidden. A luxurious version of Grape Tonic with added lime.

16 ounce can thanks to Chris. Pours a hazy orange hue with a large white head. A big pulp orange nose. Soft, orange peel, light bitterness, pear, dusty malt base, lively though soft palate. Very smooth. Good. Reminds me a bit of Ex Novo.

Can at night after drinking lambics and stouts all day oddly felt this nightcap would help me out. Cloudy orange one finger head. Nose is citrus and pine. Tastes of grapefruit, orange, pine, dough, maybe some mango skin. Chewy mouthfeel.

On draught at BrewDog Leicester. Light gold, hazy with very little head. Gentle pineapple aromas with some biscuity malt. Lovely sweet taste leaning toward the bitter at the end of the sip. A bit acrid at the finish and the body is pretty thin. Soft to medium carbonation. Very decent.

Keg at BD Seven Dials. Grassy citrus aroma. Cloudy pale orange. Thin creamy white head. Medium bitter with a fruity citrus streak. Boozy. Medium bodied. Sticky. Average carbonation. Does what a NEIPA should do.
