The First release in our “New Orthodox” IPA series, M-43 is designed to accentuate the deep and complex character from the combination of Calypso, Amarillo, Citra, and Simcoe hops. Citrus and Tropical notes of Pineapple, Mango and Grapefruit come through in the huge, yet surprisingly delicate aroma. The flavor backs these aromas with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Hop bitterness is not particularly intense, which leads to a very drinkable, juicy IPA even non-IPA fans love. The Haze is not from yeast, but rather from an interplay of lipids from the malted oat and oils and acids which naturally occur in the hand selected Dry hops. This beer is a perfect interplay between top grade malt and hops, MI water and brewing technique which cannot be faked.

12/IV/19 - 1Pt. can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ home, BB: n/a, canned: II/4/19 - (2019-461)

Pretty cloudy orange beer, big irregular solid creamy yellowish head, very stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very piny and resinous in the can, with some citrus and grapefruit notes. When pouring more resinous and tropical fruits, piny, fruity, malty, some caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: soft bitterness, some sweet malts, fruity, caramel touch, lots of peaches, citrus, tropical fruits, mango, alcohol, little soapy. Aftertaste: bit sweet, juicy, oranges, tangerines, bit sweet, nice bitterness, little piny.

Can 473ml (Beer Republic canned 18.10.2018) Well, 5½ months old ipa from Beer Republic. Murky yellow colour, small steady white head. Juicy, pineapple, pellets aroma. Medium-bodied. Juicy pineapple, grapefruit. Somewhat citrusy-juicy finish. Oat gives nice smooth mouthfeel. No hopburn or pellets in the flavour. Nice one even this old.

Sample at The Draft Room. Hazy yellow-orange color with a medium thick white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of piney hops, tropical fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of grapefruity hops, pine, tropical fruit and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering citrusy hop aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Can, shared with Ogi. Murky dark amber juicy body, white head. Fantastic, fresh aroma, guava to peach, very juicy, prickly pear, very pungent. Extremely smooth, juicy, tropical, some lime, slightly dusty maybe, but pure class really. Glad to have tried it!

16 ounce can. Stumbled upon this at the Hamilton Super BuyRite. Cloudy mustard gold color. Frothy beige head. Tart fruity malt nose. Plenty of tropical citrus fruit. There is an underlying sour malt component after you take your first sip. Tropical fruit notes abound. Lots of flavor all around. Notes of lemon, papaya, mango and pineapple. Hops and malt are in delicious harmony.
