The First release in our “New Orthodox” IPA series, M-43 is designed to accentuate the deep and complex character from the combination of Calypso, Amarillo, Citra, and Simcoe hops. Citrus and Tropical notes of Pineapple, Mango and Grapefruit come through in the huge, yet surprisingly delicate aroma. The flavor backs these aromas with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Hop bitterness is not particularly intense, which leads to a very drinkable, juicy IPA even non-IPA fans love. The Haze is not from yeast, but rather from an interplay of lipids from the malted oat and oils and acids which naturally occur in the hand selected Dry hops. This beer is a perfect interplay between top grade malt and hops, MI water and brewing technique which cannot be faked.

Pretty nice head. Pungent aroma of fresh hops, the mouthfeel is a bit oily, the malt is non descriptive, the hop is a bit juicy but also vegetable. I don't feel this much.

Cloudy blond colour. Aroma of piney hops, citrus peel, touch of incense. Good body strength, dry mouthfeel, the hopping character is mainly resiny, with citrus peel, mild dank character. Quite strong bitterness for the style, hence better balanced.
Very good.

Many thanks to weihenweizen for bringing this can to Europe. Fantastic fresh floral nose. The beer starts fruity with a fantastic fresh citrus aroma. Hop oils, lemon. Hints of grain, fresh lemon hops, refreshing with a deep floral ending. Very nice.

473mL can, pours a cloudy bright orange with a small white head. Aroma is quite juicy and pithy, with lots of orange rinds, citrus hops, and resins. Flavour is very juicy and pithy, with lots of resinous hops, oranges, and light pine. Great pithy, juicy character. Loads of depth. Excellent.

Cloudy, and a bit dull. On the nose, there's a bit of leafy, orangey hop notes, and a fair bit of yeastiness. Moderate bitterness. Malts lend a touch of sweetness, and there's a dank, slightly grapefruity hop note. A bit thin in the finish, and the hop character is unrefined. Finishes husky and yeasty. Ok.
