MBCC. Black without head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and cinnamon. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Boozy. Oily. 140522

Bottle. Black color with small beige head. Aroma is full on cinnamon, almonds, chocolate but balanced, not too much barrel, nicely integrated. Taste is intense cocoa, chocolate, almonds, decent chili catch too. Really characterful and well-done. Not too thick mouthfeel, present carbonation. Glorious!

Dark brown. Super rich chocolate on the nose, with light alcohol, hint of cinnamon, almond, and dark sugars. Big rich sugars, soft and sweet, light alcohol to dry it out slightly. All kinds of cinnamon, almond and chocolate. Rich and delicious.

375ml (thx, Randal C. for proxying the bottle!) @ Matt's. Appearance: dark brown with a weak beige head. Aroma: cinnamon, chocolate, bourbon, dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines, quite thick and sweet, spicy, finishes with a spicy chocolate notes. Overall: interesting.

375mL bottle, pours a dirty black with pretty much no head. Nose is full of light cinnamon, some gentle chilies, and cocoa, rounded out by some bourbon. Flavour has big bourbon and spicy cocoa notes; the cocoa has a cinnamon and gentle chili element to it. There's plenty of depth, but perhaps not the level of complexity or elegance. Finishes chocolatey and somewhat spicy. Good, but far from amazing.

Can't believe people slept on this release, dat EC barrel is ❤️ mad chocolate, light carb but perfect thick medium body, perfect spice, legit Mexican hot chocolate, really balanced adjuncts with extra chocolate on top. Perfect nutty spice sweetness.
